UP man kills younger brother for wearing his jeans

Allahabad: In what could be a shocking incident, a 37-year-old man, Rajendra reportedly murdered his younger brother Surendra, 35, for allegedly wearing his jeans in Tharwai area of Allahabad district, Uttar Pradesh.

According to a report in India Today, Rajendra stabbed Surendra multiple times and fled the scene of the crime.

A case has been registered by the police and raids are being conducted to arrest the accused who has been absconding since then.

“Police reached the spot immediately after being informed about the incident. Surendra died while he was being taken to the hospital. A case has been filed and the police have recovered the knife used in the murder. We will arrest the accused soon,” Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Allahabad, Nitin Tiwari was quoted in a report.

Police seized the knife that was used in the crime and the victim’s body was sent for post-mortem. More details will be known once the report is out.

“Members of the family have said in their statement that Surendra was wearing his elder brother Rajendra’s jeans without permission. A quarrel broke out between the two over the matter. In a fit of rage, Rajendra stabbed Surendra and fled from the spot,” another police official was quoted in a report.
