The most expensive shoes in the world cost USD 17 million. Are you thinking it is too much? Read on, to know more about the pair of shoes. The luxury footwear was launched in Dubai on Wednesday and it is made of real diamonds and gold, which took a period of nine months to prepare and for the designing.

The shoes have been named ‘Passion Diamond Shoes’, and the price tag of one pair is 62.4 million dirhams or USD 17 million. They boast of not just one but hundreds of diamonds with two imposing ones of fifteen carats each.

The UAE-based luxury brand, Jada Dubai collaborated with Passion Jewellers to create these shoes. The launch took place on Wednesday at Burj-Al-Arab, the only 7-star hotel in the world. Before this pair, high heels by Debbie Wingham were the costliest sold at a price of USD 15.1 million.

For the launch, the shoes were displayed for sampling and publicity, but after the launch, they will be made only upon orders for specific sizes.

At the launch, the co-founder and creative director of Jada Dubai, Maria Majari said that the price for the shoes are fixed and at the event, no one can purchase them. Each size will have just one pair made to avoid any duplication, so it will be treasured piece for the ones who have it.

The company logos have also been imprinted in the shoes have also been made of real gold and the logo is very thin, so that one can just see it but it won’t cause any discomfort on wearing the shoes.
