Look out for these exciting cars and bikes in 2019!

The year 2019 will be witnessing a number of new cars and bikes across the world and will also see many companies launch their electric vehicle line- up.

1. Porsche Mission E Cross Turismo

Mission E, a four-door sports car, will go on sale for the public at the end of 2019. It has even been confirmed that it will be priced similar to the current Panamera; which means in the USA it will cost around $85,000. That’s around $10,000 more than the least expensive Tesla Model S but a lot less than a what Model S can cost. The original concept featured a 600 horsepower electric motor, four-wheel drive, a zero to 60 mph time of just 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 155 mph.

2. Mercedes V- Class

The German automaker will be launching the new V-Class in India on January 24, 2019. The Indian market is most likely to get the OM654 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine which is BS-VI complaint unlike the European market multiple engine options. It produces 191 bhp and 400 Nm of peak torque. The Mercedes-Benz V-Class is is likely to start around Rs 75-80 lakh (ex-showroom).

3. 2019 R8

Inspired from the R8 GT3 and GT4 classed race cars, the new R8 features a more aggressive stance and is expected to be more powerful in its performance. The new updates will be available in Europe as a coupe or a Spyder in early 2019. Bookings are open for the car now.

4. Tata Harrier

Slated to be launched in January 2019, the Tata Harrier is built on the company’s new OMEGARC platform and will compete with rivals like the Jeep Compass and Renault Captur in the Indian market. It is expected to fall in the price bracket of Rs 12-16 lakh.

5. Mahindra XUV300

Based on the SsangYong Tivoli, the company claims that the India-spec SUV will also come with premium and high-tech features and will be offered in both petrol and diesel engine options. The all-new Mahindra XUV300 will be launched in India in early February 2019. It is set to compete with the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, and Ford EcoSport in the India market.

6. Nissan GT- R50

Nissan collaborated with the Italy-based Italdesign to create the prototype, based on the latest Nissan GT-R NISMO, to celebrate the 50 years of both GT-R in 2019 and Italdesign in 2018. The deliveries of the car will begin in 2019 and will continue through 2020. The 710bhp GT-R by Italdesign will start carry an approximate initial price tag of a fat Rs 8 crore.

7. Lincoln Continental Coach Edition

American automaker Lincoln is all set to bring back the ‘suicide doors’ for the first time since 1969 with the 2019 Continental Coach Edition next year. Only 80 of the limited-run Continental Coach Door Editions will be produced to celebrate the 80th anniversary of one of the most iconic and timeless classic cars, which are newly reimagined for the 2019 edition. The limited edition 2019 Continental Coach Edition will carry a pricetag just north of $100,000 and will be available in the dealerships in July 2019.

8. MV Agusta Superveloce 800

The EICMA Motorcycle Show in Milan gave a glimpse of the upcoming middleweight motorcycle that will arrive globally in the second half of 2019. It is a mix of of modern lines and retro elements from the 70s and sports new asymmetrical 3-1-3 exhaust, with two tips placed on the right and one on the left side of the bike.

9. 2019 Triumph Rocket III

Triumph Motorcycles is likely to launch a new version of the 2.3-litre three-cylinder cruiser in second half of 2019. The 2019 Triumph Rocket is likely to get a Euro-IV-compliant version of the 2,294 cc three-cylinder engine. The last generation of Triumph Rocket churned about 148 bhp and the 2019 model is expected to get a power- up.

10. Triumph Speed Twin

The new Speed Twin will fuse the performance of the company’s Thruxton R cafe racer and the practicality of the Bonneville T120. It shares the same powerhouse as the Thruxton R, with the 1200 cc Bonneville ‘high power’ engine, it churns out a 96 bhp at 6,750 rpm and 112 Nm of peak torque at 4,950 rpm. The new Triumph Speed Twin is estimated to be launched in India by mid-2019 with an expected price range of Rs 10-11 lakh (ex-showroom).
