While digging to verify the clam, we came across an article by Reykjavik Grapevine, a magazine based out of Iceland’s capital Reykjavík, which confirmed that government didn’t announce any kind of grant for immigrants who marry Icelanders, regardless of gender.

Moreover, they further clarified that as per the latest population data there are more men than women in Iceland. In Reykjavík, there are 1,007 men for every 1,000 women in.

Hence, don’t believe the hoax.
