There are some amazing wonders in the world like naturally green shores along some virgin beaches. These wonders are found in destinations like Norway and Guam. The phenomena that make the sand grains naturally green is because of crystalline particles olivine (a heavy green silicate that’s not easily washed out to sea).
Papakolea Beach – Hawaii
Hawaii’s Papakolea beach is at the mouth of the bay and on the site of a volcanic eruption which was over 49,000 years ago. The way to the beach is via a rigorous trek and then travellers will come across grains of sand that are almost pure olivine, with shades of green across the colour spectrum.

Talofofo Beach – Guam
Olivine is also responsible for the greenish sands found at Talofofo Beach on the Pacific island of Guam. The green reflection is only visible during ideal weather conditions and summer as here the green sand sometimes accumulates in deposits on darker, muddier sands.
