This picture of Mukesh Ambani at swearing-in ceremony is FAKE; here’s the truth

Date:

Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s swearing-in, a picture went viral in which industrialist Mukesh Ambani can be seen taking the oath with President Ram Nath Kovind.

The picture was posted by comedian Kunal Kamra on his verified Facebook page and had got over 3,000 shares till the time of filing this report.

The caption of the picture read: *Our Prime Minister taking the oath*

FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the above post and found that it was a morphed picture.

On putting the picture through Reverse Image Search we found the original picture has Prime Minister Narendra Modi and not Mukesh Ambani.

The picture was tweeted by the verified Twitter handle of Press Information Bureau (PIB).

In the above FAKE vs REAL collage, it is clear that PM Modi’s face was replaced by Mukesh Ambani’s face through Photoshop software.

Hence, this proves that the viral picture is morphed.

Perhaps, Kunal Kamra meant it as a joke but a lot of users may interpret this image differently. So, NewsMobile fact-checked this to clear the air.
