No, MS Dhoni did not donate 5 crore to Assam flood relief; here’s the fact check

A post is being shared on social media with a claim that cricketer Mahinder Singh Dhoni has donated 5 crore to Assam flood relief.

“MS Dhoni donated 5 crore to Assam flood relief. Dear Mahi we love you 5000 times” the post claims. 

FACT CHECK

When Newsmobile fact-checked the post, we found it to be fake.

When we ran a Google search using keywords, MS Dhoni, Assam relief fund, 5 crore, we did not find any report on it whatsoever.

We also scanned through Dhoni’s social media account and found nothing related to it.

This proves that the claim is fake.
