In the wake of the horrific Unnao rape case, a picture post has been making rounds on social media according to which prime accused and former BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar has threatened the Bharatiya Janata Party of exposing the truth behind the EVM if the party does not support him.
The text in Hindi read: “BJP के मशहूर बलात्कारी विधायक कुलदीप सेंगर धमकी देता है कि अगर BJP ने मेरा पूरा साथ नहीं दिया तो EVM में जो धोखा धड़ी हुई है उसका राज़ खोल दूँगा अब पता चला असली खेल क्या है”
(Translation: BJP’s famous rapist MLA Kuldeep Sengar threatens that if BJP does not give me complete support then I will open the secret of the fraud in the EVM.)

FACT CHECK
When NewsMobile fact-checked the above post, we found it to be false.
On putting the exact statement which is claimed to be made by Sengar through a Google search, we did not find any authentic report to support the above post.
We further did a Google search with keywords such as ‘Kuldeep Sengar’, ‘BJP’, ‘Threat’, ‘EVM’, but did not come across any authentic news report which could verify the above claims.
Hence, the above information proves that the viral post is FAKE.
