Fact Check: Satirical post about Shiv Sena’s ‘new logo’ goes viral

After Shiv Sena announced the formation the government in Maharashtra with NCP and Congress, a post started circulating on social media in which Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray can be seen dressed in green colour clothes and the colour of party symbol is also green.

The picture is being circulated with the claim that it is the new logo for Shiv Sena.

NewsMobile fact-checked the post and found that it is not true. The logo and colour of Shiv Sena have NOT changed, the post is satirical post taking a dig at the party.

We found that it was originally posted by the parody account of Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut.

The Twitter bio of the above account clarifies that it is a parody account. Whereas the official Twitter account of Sanjay Raut is @rautsanjay61 and is verified.

Moreover, the Siva Sena’s logo is still the same on their official social media pages. And here’s the original image that was edited from Safran to green.

The above information proves that the viral image is not true and is a satire.
