In a televised speech on Wednesday, following the Iranian missile attack on two US military facilities in Iraq, US President Donald Trump said that Iran appears to be standing down which is a good thing for all the parties and the world.

Here are some of the other key highlights of his speech,
1. Iran will never be allowed to have nuclear weapons.
2. We did not suffer any causalities. All soldiers are fine and the US has suffered only minimal damages.
3. The US eliminated the world’s top terrorist Qassem Soleimani, which should have been done earlier. He said that Soleimani has the blood of not only Americans but also Iranians on his hands. He was planning more attacks on various American facilities and personnel. He was responsible for all the chaos in West Asia. His killing is a message to all terrorists in the region.
4. Sanctions against Iran shall remain till the time Iran shows an improvement in its behaviour and conduct.
5. The Joint Comprehensive Action of Plan is ineffective. The money that Iran received was spent on killing more number of Americans and organizing terror attacks in the region. Other nations too should break away from the deal and negotiate new deals with Iran.
6. In a peace gesture, the President clarified that the US has no interest whatsoever to use military and economic power against Iran. The US will seek peace with all those who are interested in it. The US destroyed the power of the Islamic State, which is also against Iran.
7. The US is constructing many more hypersonic missiles, but this does not mean that we want to use it.
