Did RSS publish a new ‘Constitution for India’? Here’s the truth

Date:

A 16-page booklet that details a new Constitution for India is being shared using social media platforms and instant-messaging apps like WhatsApp, with a claim that this booklet was published by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

We also came across a Twitter user who has posted screenshots of the PDF.

FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the above posts and found it to be FAKE.

Following the allegation of issuing a booklet of ‘New Constitution’, Narender Kumar, Akhil Bhartiya Sah Prachar Pramukh, RSS, called out this document to be ‘fake’ and tweeted, “Seeing their efforts to malign RSS are not working, anti-social elements have adopted a new technique. They are circulating a 16-page booklet with a claim that RSS chief Dr Mohan Bhagwat is behind it. This claim is absolutely false. The RSS chief has not published any such booklet.”

RSS filed a complaint on this issue at Nagpur’s Kotwali Police station after which a case has been registered against a person for sharing this 16-page document on social media at Khurja police station, as per ANI reports.

In conclusion, the claim that RSS issued a digital booklet of the ‘new Indian constitution’ is completely FALSE.
