“Voter turnout data is submitted by returning officers who were busy throughout the night, then they became busy in scrutiny. It has taken a little bit of time but, in data entry, it is very important to ensure accuracy,” Delhi Chief Electoral Officer Ranbir Singh said during a press conference.

“The highest voter turnout was recorded in Ballimaran assembly constituency at 71.6% while the lowest voter turnout was recorded in Delhi Cantonment at 45.4%,” Singh said.

Earlier in the Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal had questioned the delay in the release of the final voter turnout for the polls.

The national capital sealed the fate of 672 candidates in the fray for 70 assembly seats. Over 1.47 crore eligible voters exercised their franchise in Delhi election 2020. Polling began at 8 am and ended at 6 pm.
