Bengaluru: India on Monday reported two positive cases of Coronavirus. One of these cases has been reported in Telangana. This is a case pertaining to a techie from Bengaluru who returned from Dubai and then left for Hyderabad.
The Karnataka Health Minister, B Sreeramulu, said that the Health Department has been able to contact almost 60% of the people who came in touch with the techie during his travels and have advised all of them to take precautions.
He said that they swung into action as soon as they received information about him.

The people who were in touch with the techie and are from Telangana are being taken care of by their respective state governments.
The Karnataka government, meanwhile, has reached out to the techie’s room mate and the other passengers with whom he travelled from Dubai.
It has also been informed that the bus in which the techie travelled to Hyderabad from has been fumigated. The Minister assured the people and said that there was no cause for panic and the state government is taking all steps to contain the spread of this virus.
Two labs have been set up at the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Chest Diseases and Bangalore medical college for testing. In addition, 630 beds in government hospitals and 1689 beds in private hospitals have been reserved as isolation wards in the city.
