Jalandhar residents enjoy mountain view after 30 years

The residents of Jalandhar were pleasantly surprised to wake up and see the spectacular Dhauladhar mountains located in the neighbouring state of Himachal Pradesh.

The only surprising fact here is that these mountains are located 200 kms away and probably share only one geographical phenomenon.

Pollution has reduced significantly across the country, especially in North Indian states following the national lockdown imposed due to the Coronavirus outbreak.

The residents of the district described this as having happened after a period of 30 years.

Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer Parveen Kaswan took to Twitter on Friday to share a picture from Jalandhar.

The Air Quality Index due to stubble burning ensured the complete deterioration of the Air Quality Index in Punjab, Delhi-NCT and other states in the previous months.

This comes as a relief to the residents of Jalandhar who expressed their joy.
