COVID-19 | IIT-JEE (Main), NEET exams to be held in July

Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank on Tuesday announced the dates for IIT-JEE (Main) examination and the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Under Graduate (NEET-UG) examination

JEE Main will be held from July 18 to July 23 while medical entrance test will be conducted on July 26. JEE Advanced is expected to be held in August, dates of which are not decided yet.

The syllabus for JEE Main and NEET 2021 have been reduced. Pokhriyal urged students to self-study and take the help of digital modes including SWAYAM, Diksha to prepare for entrance exams. In low-connectivity areas, the content will be telecast through SWAYAM Prabha TV, he informed.

He said that around 2,000 online contents are available at online platform- SWAYAM, SWAYAM Prabha. Apart from that, students can take help from the digital library for their study.

Pokhriyal also said that the decison to conduct the remaining papers of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 10, 12 will be taken in a day or two.

On Monday, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) announced that the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination scheduled to be held on May 31 has been deferred in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. The new dates will be announced on May 20.
