Fact Check: Don’t fall for the FAKE picture of Rahul Gandhi as a groom

A picture is doing the rounds on social media in which Congress leader Rahul Gandhi can be seen dressed as a groom with a woman in bridal wear.

At the time of filing this report, the above post was shared by over 1,700 Facebook users. Here is another post with the same picture.

FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the above picture and found it to be FAKE.

We put the picture through a Reverse Image Search and found the original picture on a wedding photography website and the couple in the original picture is completely different from the one in question.

On closely observing both pictures, we can also see a watermark of candlelightstudio.com on both pictures.

In the above FAKE vs REAL collage, it is clear that the faces of the bride and groom were replaced using photo editing software to create a false narrative.
