Dew Played A Big Factor In The Second Innings, Says Mayank

Date:

Punjab Kings suffered a six-wicket loss against Delhi Capitals in the on-going Indian Premier League. The opening batsmen Mayank Agarwal said the dew in the second inning played a crucial role in defining the result.

Mayank Agarwal’s outstanding 69 runs performance in 36 deliveries paved way for Punjab Kings to ensure a comfortable win in the first innings but Shikhar Dhawan’s ferocious batting nicked away the KL Rahul led side as Delhi Capitals registered a comfortable win.

Mayank later said that, “Dew played a factor in the coming inning. As I said it was not as easy as it looked in the second innings. Credit to Delhi bowlers who executed well after the 12th over.” For Punjab Shahrukh and Deepak Hooda played a cameo role by being unbeaten at 22 and 15 respectively.

“I was batting well in the nets, I was getting in good position, it is about holding shape and getting in good position and doing the things that are working for me.” added Mayank.

Mayank also added that he was not thinking much about the last game and didnt want to stress about it.
