FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the post and found it to be fake.

In the screenshot, we could see the logo of news channel TV9 in the top right corner. Based on this, we ran a Reverse Image Search along with a keyword search and found a report by TV9 Bharatvarsh dated April 17, 2021.

“Maharashtra में लग सकता है सबसे सख्त lockdown | Coronavirus Pandemic,” the title of the video read. (Translation: Maharashtra may face stricter lockdown)

We watched the video and found the segment from where the viral screengrab has been taken and edited. We noticed that in the fake graphic, the word Maharashtra has been replaced by Bharat (India) and Maharashtra’s deputy CM, Ajit Pawar’s image has been interchanged with that of PM Modi, by edited the original graphic.

This proves that the graphic is fake.

Moreover, when we investigated more, we found a YouTube channel Real Education. On the channel, we found that all the videos had the same fake news channel template and most of the text is essentially clickbait and fake.

So, from the above fact check, it is clear that the graphic in circulation is false.
