A post along with a few photos is being shared on social media claiming that it shows Satanic rituals performed at the recent G7 summit in Cornwall.
Leaders of the G7 (Group of Seven) nations met for face-to-face talks in Carbis Bay, Cornwall, between June 11-13. They discussed a range of issues including COVID-19 pandemic, climate change and trade.
People in the viral post can be seen dressed up in red cloaks, wigs, masks and painted white faces, while others were dressed as birds. The post is being shared with a caption that reads, “Satanic rituals going on here in Cornwall Carbis Bay where the G7 is being held.. is this an enactment of the Handmaid Tales? How they want the future to look?”

Starting with our investigation, we searched the web with relevant keywords to find news reports about “Satanic rituals at G7 Summit” but could not find any credible media report corroborating the viral claim.
By doing a Reverse Image Search, we found out that they are the pictures of protesters demanding climate action during G7 summit.
We found similar of the red-cloaked individuals, identified as the Red Brigade, at a protest organised by the Extinction Rebellion (XR) climate activist group on June 12 on a post by newswire Reuters. The image descriptions also confirmed that climate change activists dressed up as black birds on June 11.
The demonstrators affiliated with Extinction Rebellion (XR) called on governments to uphold their climate commitments under the 2015 Paris Accord.
Extinction Rebellion also live streamed the protest on their Facebook page. The caption of the posts read: “Creative finale of four-day nationwide coastal campaigns to highlight rising seas ahead of G7 summit.”
Local media outlets that reported on the protest made no mention of Satanism. AFP also captured scenes from the protest but did not mention anything about devil worship.
