FACT CHECK

NewsMobile did a fact-check and found the claim to be false.

On doing a Google Reverse Image search, we found the same image was published on Pinterest with the title “Sherry Serafini-burzalovya Kseniya.”

We further found that a website was selling the same necklace for $3.9.

Another website, Fire Mountain Beads mentioned that the jewellery was designed by Sherry Serafini, the featured catalogue cover artist for the 2004-2005 Fire Mountain Gems and Beads Jewelry Maker’s Catalog. We also found that Sherry Serafini entered the necklace in the 2004 Bead Dreams Contest.

Bead Dreams is a contest organised by Fire Mountain Gems and Beads. According to the website, it is a competition of exceptional bead artistry from around the world.

Thus, it can be concluded that the viral image of the necklace is being shared with a false claim.
