A video of former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan meeting Indian PM Narendra Modi has gone viral on social media. The video is being shared with a caption claiming that he had a secret meeting with PM Modi recently.
The caption of the post reads, “عمران خان کی مودی سے خفیہ ملاقاتیں۔ چھپ کر ملاقاتیں وہ کرتا ہے جو ملک کے خلاف سازش کرتا ہے، مراد سعید” (English translation, “Imran Khan’s secret meetings with Modi. The one who conspires against the country holds secret meetings, Murad Saeed.”)

NewsMobile did a fact-check and found the claim to be fake.
On doing a Google Reverse Image Search with one of the keyframes, we found that the same image was uploaded by Zee Hindustan on December 12, 2015. The image was shared with a description: “Former Pakistan captain Imran Khan, who is in India, met Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Friday.”
The same video was uploaded by news agency ANI on December 11, 2015. The video was shared with the description, “Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday. The Ministry of External Affairs said that both leaders welcomed the recent development in bilateral relations. MEA spokesperson Vikas Swarup tweeted that they welcomed recent developments in bil relations & expressed hope that these would lead 2 closer cooperative ties between the 2 countries. During the meeting, Khan also invited Prime Minister Modi to visit Pakistan.”
Hence an old video of Imran Khan meeting PM Modi has gone viral as a recent meeting.
