Mumbai: Rajasthan Royals will clash with Kolkata Knight Riders in the ongoing Indian Premier League at the Brabourne Stadium on Monday.
Rajasthan Royals will be back after a loss against Gujarat Titans. The batting department collapsed in the last game with a string of low individual scores. Orange Cap holder Jos Butler, however, managed to score 54 runs in 24 deliveries but the chase was ended by Lockie Ferguson in the last game.
Ravichandran Ashwin was sent up the order but the tactical move fell short when he got out scoring eight runs. Skipper Sanju Samson will be looking forward to contributing in this game with his bat and getting some crucial runs and partnerships for the team.
Kolkata Knight Riders are also back from a crushing defeat against Sunrisers Hyderabad. In the wake of the loss, they have slipped to number six in the points table. Skipper Shreyas Iyer needs to get back the momentum inside the dressing room and win today’s game.
Aaron Finch was replaced in place of Ajinkya Rahane but the opener failed to make an impact and got out early in the game. Nitish Rana and Andre Russell’s power-packed hitting helped KKR to set up a decent target on the board.
Umesh Yadav failed to get any wickets in the last game. Spell of Pat Cummins and Andre Russell got some wickets but Sunrisers Hyderabad managed to win the game by seven wickets.
