Mumbai: The ongoing season of the Indian Premier League is unfolding in its full glory. Teams are finally reaching the end of the league stage games. IPL is known for acting as a catalyst for the young raw talents of our country and this season is no exception.

Uncapped players have always been an asset to the franchise and later helps the Indian Cricket team to determine a list of probables who might end up in the international squad. With the season getting close to the final round of the tournament, we have compiled a list of top-performing uncapped players in this season of IPL.

Ayush Badoni: Representing Lucknow Super Giants in the season, Ayush Badoni is one of the leading contenders for the emerging player’s awards. Badoni has scored 161 runs in eleven innings. With a strike rate of 130 plus, Badoni has managed to play an instrumental role for his side. In an initial league stage match, Badoni scored a half-century, saving the match for his side. With the upcoming games left, Ayush will have plenty of opportunities to showcase his talent and skills.

Tilak Varma: Picked up by Mumbai Indians this season, the young batsman has slowly earned the tag of being the most dependable batsman in the season for Mumbai Indians. In 13 innings, he has scored 376 runs with a strike rate of 131.46. He has saved and anchored the innings for his side on several occasions. His classic knock of 61 runs against Rajasthan Royals showed that the player can not only provide a stable batting performance but also can hit the ball and carry the scoreboard forward.

Umran Malik: Umran is now a household name for every cricket fan in the country. The young Speedster has shown his talent and is being recognized by the world. With consistent deliveries clocking 150 kmph and above, the pacer has left a mark on the history of IPL and Indian Cricket. Umran has picked up 21 wickets in 13 innings this season. He has also bowled the top speed of the season by clicking 157 kmph against Gujarat Titans.

Mohsin Khan: The left-arm pacer was picked up by Lucknow Super Giants at a base price of 20 lakh in this year’s auction. Mohsin Khan has improved a lot and is consistently bowling great spells at almost every opportunity. In seven innings, Khan has picked up 10 wickets. With an economy rate of 6.08, he is one of the reliable bowling options for captains during death overs.

Abhishek Sharma: The left-handed opener Abhishek Sharma is having one of the best runs in this season of IPL. Playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad this season, Abhishek has scored 383 runs in 13 innings. With a strike rate of 132.98, Abhishek Sharma has proved to be the spine of the SRH batting lineup. The young batsman showcased his talent in the Vijay Hazare Trophy playing for Punjab.
