AAP Defends Satyendar Jain After ED Raids, Says BJP Is Spreading Rumours

Date:

New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi party lashed out at BJP for using central agencies for conducting searches at Delhi Minister Satyendar Jain’s residence on Tuesday.

The AAP party said that the ‘rumours’ of cash being seized from Jain’s residence are being spread. The comment was made after ED shared pictures of cash and gold being seized from the aides of Jain who were raided on Monday.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in a tweet lashed out at BJP and said that “At this time, the Prime Minister is with full force behind the Aam Aadmi Party – especially the governments of Delhi and Punjab. Lie on lie.” He further added that “You have the power of all agencies, But God is with us”.

Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, AAP spokesperson Saurabh Bharadwaj said, “If you raid a jeweler’s house, you will get only gold. What was found in Satyendar Jain sir’s house? nothing, they (Centre) are lying.”

He further added that “ED searched the house of Satyendar Jain from 7 am to 2 pm on Monday. Nothing was found at his house. ED’s raid failed. The respect of the Modi government was tarnished at the international level recently. Now, the BJP is spreading lies that crores of rupees and gold coins were found,”.
