Mogadishu: Al-Shabaab militants took control and attacked the hotel Hayat in the Somali capital, Mogadishu, on Friday.
According to police and intelligence officials, at least 15 individuals were killed as the gunmen stormed the hotel on Friday evening and opened fire after setting off two car bombs.
The Al Qaeda-linked terrorist group Al-Shabaab reportedly claimed responsibility for the attack in a statement posted on its affiliated online sites.
