Saddened To See Devastation Caused By Floods In Pakistan: PM Modi

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday offered his heartfelt condolences to the people who lost their lives in Pakistan due to the ongoing situation of floods across the country.

PM Modi took to Twitter and said that “Saddened to see the devastation caused by the floods in Pakistan. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims, the injured and all those affected by this natural calamity”. He further added that he hopes for an early restoration of normalcy in Pakistan.

Pakistan battles one of the worst situations of floods that have amounted to a loss of around $10 billion across different sectors of the economy, said the country’s Finance Minister Miftah Ismail.

According to a report by The News, 5.7 million people have been affected due to rain-induced flooding in different parts.
