Arvind Kejriwal Argues With Gujarat Police After Being Stopped From Visiting Auto Driver’s Home

Ahmedabad: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was stopped by Gujarat police while he was on his way to an auto-rickshaw driver’s home on Monday.

Gujarat police in a viral video was seen citing concerns over his security while travelling in an auto. Arvind Kejriwal accepted the invitation of an auto rickshaw driver to have dinner at his home while addressing a public gathering earlier in the day.

Arvind Kejriwal was stopped which led to a heated argument. Kejriwal further lashed out at the police personnel and added that “I am a man of the people, I want to meet the people. I don’t want such security. Police want to arrest me in the name of security. We don’t want security. We want to meet people. How can you stop?”

According to reports, following the argument, a police officer sat next to the auto-rickshaw driver while two police cars escorted him.

Arvind Kejriwal further took to Twitter and said that auto driver Vikram Dantani introduced him to his family and offered him delicious food. He added “Heartfelt thanks to Vikrambhai and all the auto driver brothers of Gujarat for this immense affection.”
