The post reads: “A town in Brazil Named, “Noiva Do Cordeiro” has a shortage of men and a lot of beautiful women are desperately looking for men to love and marry them”

Wth a keyword search on Google, we found several news reports from 2014 supporting the above claim. Some of these reports can be seen here and here.

We also came across a BBC Brazil report, dated August 29, 2014, which debunked the claim of a ‘shortage of men’ in the Brazilian town.

The above report reads: “BBC Brasil spoke to three residents of the village, and they assured that the reports published abroad are unfounded.” 

The findings establish that the claim of a shortage of men in the Brazilian town of Noiva Do Cordeiro is at least eight years old, and misleading.
