Going through a Reverse Image Search, we found one YouTube channel of ‘MEWAD NEWS 86’ carrying the longer version of the viral video on December 29, 2021. The video description reads: “Maharana Pratap’s father was a BJP worker – Congress leader CWC Raghuveer Singh Meena.”
In the video, Meena had been questioned by the interviewer “Why do the BJP politicians attack Maharana Pratap repeatedly?” He had made the viral remark in answer to the above question, saying, “Satish Poonia, the president of the BJP in Rajasthan, ‘promotes Hindutva’, incites conflict over issues involving mosques and temples, and portrays Maharana Pratap as having ties with the BJP.” We could not find any credible media reports corroborating the viral claim.
Thus, it is evident from the above information that an old video of a Congress leader is falsely shared as a BJP leader saying that Maharana Pratap’s father was a part of BJP.
