T20 World Cup: Pakistan Storm Into Finals After Beating Kiwis By 7 Wickets

Sydney: Babar Azam led Pakistan to become the first team to secure a spot in the finals after defeating New Zealand by seven wickets at SCG on Wednesday.

Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam played crucial knocks of 57 and 53 runs respectively leading the side to a comfortable win.

After losing the toss, Pakistan managed to conclude the Kiwi’s innings at 152 runs in the first innings. Pakistani speedster Shaheen Afridi continues his top form as he picks up two crucial wickets in his spell. Skipper Kane Williamson and Daryl Mitchell played important innings but failed to score big.

With Pakistan making it to the finals, the stakes for Men In Blue in the semi finals are as high as it could get. India will face England for the second semi-final. The winner will face Pakistan at the iconic venue of MCG on November 13.
