In a bid to find out what was the meeting about, we found some news reports that a village in Poland, which is close to the Ukrainian border, had been hit by missiles on November 15. Starting with our investigation, we tried to find out what was the meeting about. The incident took place as Russian assaults on Ukrainian cities and energy facilities continued. Members of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and the G7 multinational political forum who were present in Bali during the G20 Summit called an emergency meeting after it. At the time of this conference, there were rumours that Russia was now also attacking Poland, which may cause global tensions to rise even higher.

The White House had also issued a press statement, with a headline: “Joint Statement of NATO and G7 Leaders on the Margins of the G20 Summit in Bali”, regarding this emergency meeting.
This confirms that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was not present at this meeting, because India is not a part of either NATO or G7. Not all of NATO’s 30 nations were present for the meeting. This emergency meeting was convened during G20 Summit and numerous NATO members were not in Bali, because they were not G20 members.
Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, Japan, Canada, the US, and the EU are G7 members. Japan, which is not a member of NATO, attended the meeting for this reason.
Thus, it is evident that leaders of NATO and the G7 countries were present at the emergency meeting that Biden called during the G20 conference. PM Modi did not attend the summit because India does not belong to any of these organisations.
