A post has resurfaced on social media claiming that the images are of Indian soldiers serving in extreme conditions.
The post reads: जीवघेण्या थंडी मधे देशाची रक्षा करणाऱ्या या रिअल हिरोंना (English translation: These real heroes who protect the country in the deadly cold!)

NewsMobile fact-checked the pictures, and found it to be false.
Putting the pictures through Reverse Image Search, we found that the pictures are from Russia. We traced one of the pictures featured in an article in a Russian site, related to war and media. And the second picture was found on a Russian social media post, dating back to 2013.

The same images were also fact-checked by an organisation StopFake, in 2014, when the same images were shared as images of Ukrainian soldiers.
Thus, it is clear that the images are from Russia.
