FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the viral video, and found it to be misleading.

Running a Reverse Image Search of the video keyframes, we traced a news report, titled: Hyderabad: Collision between MMTS and passenger train caught on CCTV camera, dated November 11, 2019, published on the website of The Times of India

The video in the article matches exactly with the viral clip and the description informs that the collision happened between an MMTS and a passenger train at the Kacheguda station in Telangana.

A YouTube video, titled: Moment When Two Trains Collided At Hyderabad’s Kacheguda Railway Station, dated November 12, 2019, published on the official channel of Outlook Magazine, informs that at least 13 passengers were injured in the collision and rushed to a nearby hospital.

Multiple news outlets, like The Quint, Republic world, and NDTV, reported on the incident, all dating back to 2019. We could not find a single credible source of news backing the viral claim of the accident to be recent.

Therefore, we can conclusively say that the viral video, claiming a collision between two trains to be a recent incident, is misleading.
