Matter Of Personal Anguish: Tata Sons Chairman On Urination Incident Onboard Air India Flight

New Delhi: Reacting to the incident of a man urinating at a co-passenger in an Air India flight, Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran expressed “anguish” and added that the response should have been “swifter”.

In a letter, N Chandrasekaran said that “The incident on Air India flight Al102 on November 26th, 2022, has been a matter of personal anguish to me and my colleagues at Air India.”

He further added that “Air India’s response should have been much swifter. We fell short of addressing this situation the way it should have been.”

He also reiterated that the Tata Group and Air India are committed towards the safety of passengers. He further confirmed that Tata Sons will work towards and repairing and reviewing every process to ensure no such incident happens in the future.

Meanwhile, Delhi’s Patiala House Court on Saturday sent accused Shankar Mishra, who had allegedly urinated on a co-passenger, to 14 days of judicial custody.

Mishra had allegedly urinated on a 70-year-old woman in an intoxicated condition in business class of an Air India flight on November 26 last year.
