New Delhi: In a major development, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) received a detailed report of the Kanjhawala hit-and-drag case on Thursday.
Earlier, 20-year-old Anjali Singh, who was riding a scooter, was found dead on the street, after being allegedly hit and dragged by a car driven by five youths in Outer Delhi’s Kanjhawala area.

- MoHA has suggested the Police Commissioner to suspend the police personnel deployed in three PCRs and at two police pickets, and take disciplinary action against them.
- The ministry has further suggested the Delhi Police Commissioner to issue a show cause notice against the investigation officer, considering the lack of investigation.
- The MHA has also suggested that the police file a chargesheet against the culprits in the court at the earliest and take all necessary steps so that they should be punished.
