The video of a woman assaulting a cab driver on the street is doing the rounds on social media claiming that a Delhi cab driver was rescued by the onlookers.

NewsMobile fact-checked the video, and found it to be old.

The same video was found on the YouTube channel India Today, dated November 19, 2021, with a title: Woman slaps and assaults cab driver on Delhi street.

According to the location tag, the video was taken in Patel Nagar, New Delhi.

According to media reports, the woman was travelling with another woman on the scooty. The roads were congested and the cab driver couldn’t make space as demanded by the woman, which enraged her. Following this, she got off the scooty and started beating and abusing the cab driver. The reports can be read here and here.
