Complainants Are Being Pressured: Bajrang Punia’s Allegation Amid Protest

Date:

New Delhi: Wrestler Bajrang Punia on Tuesday claimed that seven wrestlers who filed the complaint against WFI chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh are reportedly being forced to withdraw their police complaint.

Bajrang Punia in a press conference alleged that “I don’t know how this has happened but the girls who have complained are being pressured. WFI officials are going to their homes and offering money,”.

He further added that if something happened to the wrestlers who lodged the complaint then “the police and government will be responsible.”

Top wrestlers have now resumed their sit-in protest at Jantar Mantar here in the national capital after filing a complaint at the Connaught Place police station on Friday (April 21) stating that seven female wrestlers, including one minor, were harassed and exploited by Brij Bhushan in his capacity as WFI chief.
