IPL 2023: Surya, Ishan Kishan Shine As Mumbai Indians Beat Punjab Kings By 6 Wickets

Mohali: The prolific innings from Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan guide Mumbai Indians to dominant six wicket win against Punjab Kings on Wednesday.

Chasing the mammoth score of 215 runs, Mumbai Indians lost the early wicket of skipper Rohit Sharma in the first over.

Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav took charge of the innings and scored 75 and 66 runs respectively.

After the dismissal of the top order, youngster Tilak Varma and Tim David took the reins and ended the match. Tilak played a power-packed innings of 26 runs in just 10 deliveries.

Punjab Kings managed to put up a big total with the contribution of Liam Livingston who scored 82 runs off 42 deliveries. Jitesh Sharma played a cameo towards the end and scored 49 unbeaten off just 27 deliveries.

With this win, MI glides up to the sixth spot in the points table while PBKS moves down to the seventh spot.
