Performing a Reverse Image Search with relevant keywords, we traced the official YouTube channel of the Indian National Congress carrying a longer version of the viral video on February 17, 2017, with a caption: “AICC Press Briefing by Jyotiraditya Madhavrao Scindia at Congress HQ.” The viral clip runs from 8.39 minutes onwards. Thus, it is evident that the video is six years old.
Searching further, we found several news articles reporting Scindia’s statement about Bajrang Dal in 2017, while he was still a Congress MP. As per the article, during that time 11 spies belonging to ISI were caught in Madhya Pradesh. According to another report by National Herald, dated February 17, 2017: “Mocking the Bharatiya Janata Party as the world’s first ‘ISI certified political party’, Congress MP Jyotiraditya Scindia claimed that not one but at least four of the 19 arrested people happen to be closely related to BJP, Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad.”
Ending his 18-year association with Congress, Scindia joined BJP on March 11, 2020, stating that “Congress is no longer what it used to be, it is living in denial.”
Thus, it is confirmed that an old video of Scindia speaking against Bajrang Dal is falsely shared as a recent incident.
