New Delhi: A tragic incident unfolded in Pakistan’s Sindh as over eight coaches of the Rawalpindi bound Hazara Express derailed 275 kilometres away from Karachi. The incident reportedly resulted in 30 people losing their lives while around 80 were injured in the incident, as per Pakistan’s local news channel Geo News.

Passengers who were injured in the incident are being taken to nearby hospitals. The cause of the incident is still unknown.
The administration is leading the rescue operation. An emergency situation has been declared in the nearby hospitals. The Pakistan Army troops are also actively participating in the relief operations.
The local administrator mentioned that a relief train has been dispatched to the accident location and is expected to reach the accident site soon.
