Searching for “BBC Chandrayaan-3”, we could not find any credible report. Observing the video carefully, however, we found a watermark of Videsh TV in the bottom right of the viral video. With a keyword search, we spotted a YouTube video, shared in 2019, with similar footage. The title of the video reads: “ Bradley Walsh talking about India’s Chandrayaan-2 mission from 2019.”
The video shows BBC news reporter Bradley Walsh talking about India’s Chandrayaan-2 mission from 2019. The ticker in the video report also mentions “Chandrayaan-2: India launches second Moon mission”.
We also came across a Fact Check done by BBC mentioning that a four-year-old video aired on BBC World News before the launch of Chandrayaan-2 in 2019 was falsely shared as a new video after being cropped. BBC’s official X handle also issued a statement mentioning the viral video is from 2019.
