Ishaan- Mrunal’s Pippa To Get OTT Release On Prime Video

Ishaan Khatter and Mrunal Thakur’s next ‘Pippa’ is going to get an OTT release. Streaming platform Prime Video announced this big news with a trailer of the film. The film will be available on the platform on November 10.

For the unversed, Pippa is based on the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971. It is the story of a real war hero. The film is based on the Battle of Garibpur, which was fought during the Indo-Pakistan war of 1971. It is also based on the book written by war hero Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta, ‘The Burning Chaffees’. Ishaan is playing the role of Captain Mehta in the film. Captain Mehta belonged to the 45th Cavalry Tank Squadron.

The film is directed by Raja Krishna Menon, and produced by Ronnie Screwvala under the banner of RSVP and Siddharth Roy Kapur’s Roy Kapur Films. Other than Ishaan Khatter and Mrunal Thakur in the lead, the star cast of the film also includes- Soni Razdan, Priyanshu Painyuli, Leysan Karimova Zena, Inaamulhaq Shibli, Soham Majumdar, Chandrachoor Rai.

Pippa is a great retelling of real-life events that changed history. War stories as a genre hold a universal appeal. Pippa is an incredible narration; based on a true story by war hero Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta, which has been masterfully brought to life by Raja Menon.
