The anticipation for War 2 is soaring as Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR join forces in the YRF Spy Universe, creating an electrifying clash between two superstars. Adding to the excitement is Hrithik’s cameo in Tiger 3, directed by Ayan Mukerji. The initial shoot, completed in Spain in October 2023, is likely to be mirrored with the second schedule set in Abu Dhabi. Filming with Hrithik and Jr. NTR is slated to commence in February 2024.
A source quoted in a report by Mid-Day said, ‘NTR Jr is currently shooting for his 30th film, directed by Koratala Siva, and will then begin his first schedule for War 2. Aditya Chopra and Ayan have planned a massive action entry shot for him in the film. Shooting for the portions involving Hrithik and him will commence in February in Mumbai over a month-long schedule. The dramatic portions will be canned first, and will be followed with action sequences.’
Kiara Advani takes the lead alongside these stars, and the film is scheduled for release over the Republic Day 2025 weekend.
The film’s director, Ayan Mukerji, was seen in Spain accompanied by a crew, where videos indicate the filming of a chase sequence taking place in the country. Despite this, Hrithik and Tarak have not been captured in any photographs yet.
Ayan Mukherji in a very special way had announced that he would be working on War 2. The director took to Instagram and announced that the sequels of his brainchild Brahmastra would be delayed given his other work commitments. He went on to write, ‘I also have another piece of news to share…. The Universe has presented me with a very special opportunity recently a very special movie – to step into and direct! What the movie is… More on that when the time is right 🙂 An opportunity that challenges me and terribly excites me… one where I will learn, be inspired and where I will grow! So, I have decided to take it up!!’
