Running a Reverse Image Search on the video keyframes led us to a tweet from December 12, 2023, published on the official channel of Asianet Newsable- a Malayalam language news channel. The caption suggests that the child was seeking help to find his father at the Sabarimala temple.
We found an extended version of the video published on Asianet’s official YouTube channel as well. Here too we can see the descriptions suggest the boy was crying looking for his lost father.
Finally, we landed on a news article by Hindustan Times from the same day. According to the article, the police confirmed that the child was reunited with his father immediately.
Therefore, we can conclusively say that the viral post, claiming Sanatanis are being arrested in Kerala, is false.
