Days after cricketer Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma announced the birth of their second child, a picture of Kohli with a baby stroller surfaced on Internet claiming to show him with his newly born son, Akaay.
The caption with the picture in Hindi reads: “विराट कोहली अपने बेटे अकाय के साथ”

NewsMobile fact-checked the above post, and found it to be misleading.
Through a Reverse Image Search, the NM team traced several articles from 2021 and 2022, featuring the same picture (these articles can be seen here and here) confirming that the picture in question is not recent.
The same image was also found on the official Instagram handle of Anushka Sharma, dated December 11, 2021.
It is to be noted that Virat and Anushka’s son, Akaay was born on February 15, 2024, and Kohli announced his birth on February 20, 2024.
So in conclusion, the above findings establish that the picture in question is quite old and misleading.
