New Delhi: On the occasion of the festival of colours, Holi, Delhi Metro will begin its operations at 2:30 PM on Monday as per metro officials. In a post on X DMRC posted that on the occasion of the festival of Holi, metro services will not be available till 2:30 PM on all lines of Delhi Metro including Rapid Metro and Airport Express Line.
According to a statement from DMRC, on March 25, metro services would begin at 2:30 PM from terminal stations on all lines and run normally after that. The DMRC further stated that passengers can contact station authorities or call the 24-hour IVRS helpline at 155370 for any instant assistance if car and e-rickshaw drivers encroach upon or park in their space.
DMRC on X further stated that station and security personnel routinely evict auto drivers, e-rickshaw drivers, and other encroachers from the station premises. On March 25, 2024, India will celebrate Holi. The festival is marked by a lot of energy and passion, with each state showcasing its unique traditions. The celebration takes place over two days: Rangvali Holi, a day devoted to playing with colours and having a joyful, exciting celebration with everyone, and Choti Holi, when people assemble around a campfire to honour the story of Holika.
Metro services in Noida and Greater Noida begin at 2:00 PM on March 25, the day of Holi. After 2:00 PM, Aqua Line runs every fifteen minutes. At 2:30 PM, the Delhi Metro’s Blue and Magenta Lines start running. According to officials, operations, including the Rapid Metro and Airport Express Lines from terminal stations, restart routinely after that.
