Rajinikanth’s Thalaivar 171 First-Look Poster Drops

In a series of surprising announcements, fans were first delighted by the news of Karthik Subbaraj and Suriya joining forces for an upcoming film. But the internet was in for another shock when Lokesh Kanagaraj unveiled the first-look poster of Rajinikanth’s highly-anticipated project, Thalaivar 171, without any prior buildup, leaving everyone pleasantly surprised.

The poster showcased Rajinikanth in a denim shirt, surrounded by a chain of colourful wristwatches against a grayscale background, with a prominent clock in the backdrop. The presence of watches sparked speculation about a potential time-travel storyline, and fans even theorized about a connection to Suriya’s Rolex character.

Lokesh Kanagaraj shared the poster on X (formerly Twitter), revealing that the film’s title would be disclosed on April 22 with the hashtag #Thalaivar171TitleReveal.

While the rest of the cast remains a mystery, it’s confirmed that Anirudh Ravichander will reunite with Rajinikanth for the project. Additionally, the involvement of renowned action choreographers Anbu-Arivu has heightened anticipation for the movie. Thalaivar 171 is being produced by Sun Pictures.

Meanwhile, Rajinikanth is also busy with his project alongside TJ Gnanavel titled Vettaiyan, which is scheduled for release later this year, keeping fans eagerly awaiting updates on both fronts.
