FACT CHECK
NewsMobile fact-checked the above claim, and found it to be false.
Conducting a keyword search on YouTube, the NM team discovered identical visuals uploaded on an unverified channel, dated June 10, 2019, under a title: “IUML | 2019 |.”
The individuals in the viral clip could be heard chanting slogans such as “This year, let CPI (M) sit at home. This year, let Satheesh Chandran sit at home. Let Unnithan win and come.” And the chants were in support of Rajmohan Unnithan, former Congress candidate in Kasaragod, Kerala.
Also comparing the viral video flag with the official flag of Pakistan, our team found that both of them have stark differences.
Hence, we can conclusively say that the video does not show any Pakistani flag being raised in Wayanad.
