New Delhi: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) unveiled the results of the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2023 on Tuesday, recommending 1,016 candidates for various appointments. Candidates who underwent the exam can access their results on the UPSC’s official website.
Aditya Srivastava clinched the top spot, with Animesh Pradhan and Donuru Ananya Reddy securing second and third places respectively.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to social media to congratulate the successful candidates shortly after the results were announced. In his message, PM Modi lauded the hard work, perseverance, and dedication exhibited by the candidates who cleared one of the toughest examinations in the country.
Taking to X PM Modi wrote, “I congratulate all those who have successfully cleared the Civil Services Examination, 2023. Their hard work, perseverance and dedication has paid off, marking the start of a promising career in public service. Their efforts will shape the future of our nation in the times to come. My best wishes to them.”
Furthermore, PM Modi extended his support to aspirants who did not achieve the desired success, offering words of encouragement and motivation. He emphasized that setbacks should not be perceived as the end of the journey but rather as opportunities for growth and learning.
The merit list was compiled based on candidates’ performance in the written examination conducted in September 2023 and subsequent interviews held from January to April 2024. This list includes candidates recommended for the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service, and Central Services Group ‘A’ and ‘B’. The CSE (Mains) was conducted in a subjective format over ten days from September 15 to 24.
