Amidst the ongoing 2024 Lok Sabha Elections, a video of the BJP leader and Rajasthan Minister, Dr. Kirodi Lal Meena, is circulating on social media. Many users claim the BJP leader admits that if the Modi government secures over 400 seats in the election, they will abolish Reservation and amend the Constitution.
A Facebook user posted the video with a caption: राजस्थान सरकार के मंत्री किरोड़ीलाल मीणा जी खुद कह रहे है की 400 करेंगे तो मोदी जी आरक्षण ख़त्म कर सविंधान को बदल देंगे🤪🤪 (English translation: Rajasthan minister Kirodilal Meena ji himself is saying that if 400 are done, then Modi ji will end the Reservation and change the Constitution.)

Fact Check
NewsMobile fact checked the claim, and found it to be misleading.
We found the full video on Meena’s official X account, dated April 23, 2024. In the post, he clarified that an out-of-context portion of his statement was being circulated on social media with misleading claims. The Rajasthan minister also cautioned that legal action would be taken against those spreading the misleading statement.
Dr Meena in his X post wrote: “Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi Ji has made it clear that even if Baba Saheb Ambedkar himself comes, reservation will not end. Some mischievous elements are sharing my incomplete statement on social media with contrary claims. They should desist from this, otherwise I will be forced to take legal action.”
In the full video the BJP leader says, “Congress is spreading a rumour that if Modi ji increases 400 seats, then he will end Reservation and change the Constitution.”
“This rumour is being carried out in a planned manner across the country. They want to take the votes of innocent people by misleading them. Modi ji himself said in Barmer that even if Bhimrao Ambedkar comes to earth, he cannot change the Constitution. Yesterday Amit Shah also said that there will be no tampering with reservations,” he added.
BJP Rajasthan also posted the full video on their official X account. “Beware of Congress’ lies. Congress leaders are spreading confusion about reservation through speeches and social media and are trying to fraudulently mislead the public and obtain votes. The prime minister himself has said many times in his speeches that the reservation system will never end. By propagating the edited video of this media byte, Congress is spreading confusion in the society. These deceitful Congressmen are sure to be wiped out.”
Thus, it is confirmed that the video in question is false and misleading.
